Project Update - July 2024
Construction on the MacKinnon Ravine Pedestrian Bridge is now complete.
The new bridge is situated in the same location as the previous structure. Minor work will continue throughout the summer of 2024. Additionally, an interpretive sign detailing the bridge’s history will be installed.
The bridge will be fully open to the public following LRT construction clean-up on the north bridge abutment, which is expected to be completed by the end of August 2024 (subject to change). In the meantime, the bridge will be accessible to pedestrians and the community from Summit Drive, though there will be no exit to Stony Plain Road.
