Through neighbourhood funding opportunities, residents and groups can strengthen their skills and connections by working together to undertake initiatives that directly benefit their communities.
The Neighbourhood Services Funding Program focuses on creating a healthy city. We do this through community development approaches that are guided by collaboration, equity, diversity and inclusion like GBA+ analysis, local assets (Asset-Based Community Development) and best practices. The funding supports neighbourhood goals that align with City of Edmonton priorities.
The purpose of this funding is to encourage Edmontonians to build connections, collaborations and partnerships with their neighbours and community. We will invest in initiatives that:
- Connect communities by engaging and involving diverse people
- Build or increase social cohesion
- Create bridges across communities
