Homebuilders Best Practices

Placing waste bins at each new home construction site substantially reduces litter in new neighbourhoods.

Capital City Clean up welcomes the Canadian Home Builders' Association – Edmonton Region and Landmark Homes

The Canadian Home Builder's Association - Edmonton Region has joined the Capital City Clean Up program and has chosen Landmark Homes to act as the Association's 2007 Ambassador to the program.

The Association, representing over 400 residential construction professionals, chose Landmark Homes to recognize the contractor's consistently tidy work sites and best practices. Landmark Homes uses bins on their sites to collect construction waste, which substantially reduces litter in new neighbourhoods.

Congratulations to Landmark Homes for their commitment to keeping Edmonton clean.

Landmark Homes

Landmark Homes is honoured to be named the Home Builder Ambassador for 2007. Our goal is to reduce the waste produced during the construction process through the better management of materials. We aim to provide a more efficient work environment for our trades as well as a safe site for these trades, the purchasers and the public at large.

As a result, we have recently introduced steel garbage bins as our main method of waste disposal and removal from construction sites and we are currently investigating the use of high strength poly woven bags for certain applications and subdivisions.

As a company, we take corporate responsibility for maintaining a clean construction site and being good neighbours to the residents of the city of Edmonton.

Landmark Homes is currently building in the following Edmonton communities:

  • Secord
  • Cameron Heights
  • Summerside
  • Ellerslie Heights
  • Ponds Of Ellerslie
  • Tamarack
