Impaired Operator Not Working for City when Charges Laid

On Thursday, January 13, the Edmonton Police Service laid impaired driving / driving while suspended charges against the operator of a front end loader that had been observed driving erratically in the area of 97 Street and Yellowhead Trail.
At the time that charges were laid against Chanler Parker, he was not engaged in work on behalf of the City of Edmonton. Although the company with whom Parker is employed has been occasionally contracted by the Roadway Maintenance Branch, he was working for another client when stopped by police.
