Residential Grading Wraps Up

February 05, 2011

By 11pm Saturday, February 5, the City of Edmonton will have graded roads in all 270 residential neighbourhoods within two weeks.

“I would like to thank all of the crews for working extremely long hours this month,” says Bob Dunford, Director of Roadway Maintenance. “Their hard work and dedication is very much appreciated.”

The City of Edmonton would also like to thank residents and motorists for doing their part to help with the snow clearing.

“Residents have done a great job of not parking their vehicles on residential roads and helping each other out with snow shoveling,” says Dunford. “We truly appreciate your help.”

The most up-to-date residential plowing information can be accessed by calling 3-1-1 or visiting www.edmonton.ca/snowremoval.

Residents who are concerned that the City might have missed a section of road for plowing can contact 3-1-1 with location information.

The City continues to monitor weather conditions and City crews are ensuring catch basins are open and receiving run-off from snow melt. With warmer temperatures some pooling is normal. Residents noticing significant pooling can call 3-1-1 and crews will be dispatched to assess the situation and respond as required.
