Located in Edmonton’s stunning river valley, William Hawrelak Park is a 68‑hectare gem filled with wide‑open meadows, shady picnic spots and a 5‑hectare lake.

Park Access and Rehabilitation Update

William Hawrelak Park is now open to the public. While we are thrilled to welcome visitors, please note that the park remains a partial construction site as we put the finishing touches on the rehabilitation project.

What to Expect On-site:

  • Active Construction: Landscaping and finishing work are still underway. Please respect all perimeter fencing and stay clear of marked construction zones.
  • Trail Access: Trails around the park perimeter are now accessible from within the park grounds.
  • Limited Services: We are bringing the park back to life in stages. While the gates are open, full park services and amenities will be rolled out progressively throughout spring.
