School Special Bus Route Service

Many schools around the city are served by regular ETS bus routes. Some bus routes have extra trips that are timed for students at a particular school.

School Special bus routes are intended to manage overcrowding on regular ETS bus routes caused by a large number of students travelling between a neighbourhood and a school. However, ETS does not provide School Special bus routes to every school and students may need to make transfers to get to their designated school. ETS operates School Special bus routes on school days to supplement regular bus routes. 

All customers are welcome to use both School Special and regular routes.

Fall 2026 Service Changes

The following school specials will see changes this September:

  • Northside school specials are seeing significant changes due to the opening of St. Carlo Acutis Catholic High School and ongoing construction along 132 Avenue at Archbishop O’Leary Catholic High School. 
  • The following school specials will see major route adjustments: 
    • 610, 612, 613 and 626
  • The following school specials will see minor route adjustments:
    • 633, 634, 636, 647, 664 and 683
  • The following school specials will be cancelled due to low ridership and/or changing ridership patterns:
    • 624, 632, 637, 643, 644, 645, and 676
  • To replace the cancellation of Route 522 (Capliano/Gold Bar) in June 2026, Route 632 is being established between Capliano Transit Centre and Vimy Ridge Academy, following a similar route to the former Route 522.
