Update - June 2026

The City is bringing Valley Line operations in-house to Edmonton Transit Service (ETS). Over the next 1 to 2 years, operation of the Valley Line Southeast will transition from TransEd to ETS, with ETS eventually operating the full line, once construction of Valley Line West is completed. This change allows for a more integrated public transit network. Transit riders will continue to experience smooth, seamless service during this transition. More information will be shared as we move through the transition process. Questions can be directed to the City’s LRT Project inquiry line below.

Project Update

Valley Line Southeast is now open for passenger service. Over the coming months, there will be system fine-tuning, construction clean up and warranty work occurring along the line. This work does not affect the safe operation of the system.

Valley Line Southeast is a new low-floor transit system designed to fit into neighbourhoods. This means there are no crossing arms, gates or bells at intersections. Learn more at Pedestrian and Traffic Safety.
