Put on your cowboy hat, polish your boots and get ready for the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs) and Canadian Country Music Week.

As Edmonton warmly welcomes music artists and fans from across the country, everyone can enjoy the many exciting events during Canadian Country Music Week, September 11-14.

This week-long celebration will showcase Edmonton's vibrant music scene through local programming, dancing, songwriting speaker series, over 90 live performances across the city and events for fans of all ages.

Canadian Country Music Awards Show

Celebrate the best in Canadian country music at the 42nd annual CCMA Awards (presented by TD).

Time: 4-8pm
Mosey on down to Sir Winston Churchill Square and the City Hall Plaza for some down-home country fun the whole family will enjoy, featuring activities and entertainment including live country music performances, line dancing, a bandana craft, games, giveaways, chalk art, roving performers and more.

Time: 5-6pm
Get your country groove on with a live musical performance by Nathan Miller.

Time: 6:30-8pm
Kick up your heels with line dancing on the City Hall Plaza with Boot Scootin’ Boogie Dance Club, accompanied by live music from David Jukebox Leigh.

Food trucks will be on-site from 11am-8pm.

CCMA Country Crawl and Legends Car Show

Experience some of the best talent in Canadian country music when the CCMA Country Crawl comes to the Square!

Date: Thursday September 12
Time: 3-7pm
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Square
Admission: Free (no tickets are required)

With support from the City of Edmonton’s Downtown Vibrancy Fund, the CCMA Country Crawl will feature 90 performances in 33 shows in 19 venues (plus some pop-up venues), leading up to and during Country Music Week 2024. Visit CCMA Country Crawl for full details.

The 2024 CCMA Legends Show kicks off with loads of free, pre-concert fun that includes hot rides and hotter tunes.

Calling all gearheads! Check out 15 of the coolest vehicles at the Legends Car Show.

Time: 5-5:45pm
Enjoy a special performance by Canadian country music singer Colleen Rae

Time: 6-6:45pm
Stomp your boots to a performance by Canadian musician Bob Donaldson and enjoy his eclectic sound, described as acoustic “music with a twist."

Food trucks will be on-site from 11am-8pm.

Movies on the Square Goes Country!

Date: Friday September 13
Time:  4-9pm
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Square
Admission: Free

Join us for a special double feature of Movies on the Square  - country and western edition, featuring the kids’ classics Spirit Untamed (starts at 5pm), followed by Rango (6:45pm).

Arrive early for some great pre-movie entertainment, including:

  • Live country music by Travis Dolter (4-5pm)
  • Craft making with the Edmonton Public Library
  • Face painting and temporary tattoos
  • Games and activities
  • Giveaways and much more

A sensory tent will be available, courtesy of Autism Edmonton.

Food trucks will be on-site from Noon-8pm.

Live at Lunch

Get your toes tapping for special country and western-themed editions of Live at Lunch, brought to you by the City and its partner, the Edmonton Arts Council
