About the Program
The Legacy Program is a distinctive way to pay tribute to individuals or groups with a commemorative plaque placed on a bench within municipal golf courses and select attraction and recreation sites.
All Legacy plaques will be displayed for a period of 10 years from the time of installation. Prior to the end of the commemoration period, the donor can submit a renewal application to request that the City continue to display the plaque under the Legacy Program for an additional fee. While intake is ongoing, refurbishments and plaque installations take place from May to October.
Applications to install a bench ($4,700) in a new location are extremely limited, and will only be considered in cases where significant need within the park space can be demonstrated.
