Book a gazebo for your special events: Perfect locations for intimate weddings and photo shoots.
Are you hosting a special event and wish to use a gazebo? Gazebos are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. However, if you wish to guarantee a gazebo you will need to make a reservation in advance.
Gazebo bookings can be made between May - October for 2 hour increments starting at 8am, 11am, 2pm and 5pm each day.

Located in Louise McKinney Park, Ting is popular due to its unique features and being close to the large flower garden. Louis McKinney Park is also home to the Shumka stage, one of Edmonton’s premier Civic Festivals and Events locations.

Guests are welcome to stand on the grass. The parkland, however, is open to the public and not included with a gazebo reservation.

Located near the Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum, this gazebo is popular due to its lush and historical surroundings.

Located along the upper bank and looking out over the beautiful River Valley, this gazebo is a popular location with many couples who want the River Valley’s breathtaking foliage and view as their backdrop.

Please submit rescheduling requests at least 4 business days before your reservation date. A $12 rescheduling fee will apply.
To receive a refund, email your cancellation request at least 16 days before the reservation date. A cancellation fee of $12 will apply. Cancellation requests received within 16 days of the reservation date are non-refundable.
If you have cancelled a rental, please delete or dispose of the permit as it is no longer valid. If you use a cancelled permit you will be billed for the reservation.
City picnic sites are in an outdoor park setting and are subject to the weather. The safety and well-being of your guests is your responsibility. We recommend you track weather conditions and have alternative plans in place.
Reserving a gazebo site means that you will have exclusive use of the gazebo for the duration of your booking time. Open parkland is not included in your reservation, cannot be reserved for private functions, and is open to the general public during your event. Please do not rope off areas around the gazebo or bandshell.

Note: Gazebo reservations at Grant Notley Gazebo or Dick Mather Gazebo must be made a minimum of 4 days in advance.
The booking staff may ask you to acquire and maintain no less than $2,000,000 general or personal liability insurance.
Please politely advise the people concerned that you have a confirmed reservation for that site and ask them to move to a different location. If they do not oblige, please call 311 and they will connect you with a park ranger.
Please make sure that you have your gazebo booking license with you at all times on the day of your reservation, as you may be required to show this to a park ranger or Park Operations staff.
Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and, in some locations, meter parking or paid lot only. It is not guaranteed, reserved, or included in your reservation.
Please do not tie or attach any decorations to the trees around your reserved site. All items must be removed at the end of your reservation and properly disposed of.
Confetti, rice, sparklers, and fireworks are not permitted.
*All decorations - balloons, signs, banners - must be approved by the Bookings Office (780-423-7428) prior to your reservation date.
You must have your signs, posters and directional aids approved by City staff before you post them. Please remove them all immediately after your event.
No. For environmental safety, please do not throw confetti or rice. Sparklers and fireworks are also not permitted.
Put waste and garbage in the cans at the site. If we have to clean up or do repairs after your event, we will bill you.
If you have a personal music player, please keep the sound at a level that is only audible within the boundaries of your reserved area (max 75 dBA).
DJs, bands, and PA systems are not permitted.
The use of public address systems or loud-hailers is prohibited in gazebos (unless previously approved by Civic Events for the Chinese Garden Ting and Dr. Wilbert McIntyre Park). Public address systems or loud-hailers are allowed in bandshells if the volume doesn't disturb others. See the Community Standards Bylaw.
No. Parkland regulations forbid the retailing of products or use of promotional signage on parkland without the prior approval of City of Edmonton’s Sustainable Development Office.
