Camp Inspire for Women and Gender-Diverse Individuals
This is an opportunity to work alongside Fire Service members from the Edmonton Region, ask questions and meet others who are interested in the firefighting profession.

Camp Inspire:
- Provides women and gender-diverse individuals from communities of all backgrounds an introduction to the fire service in a safe, inclusive way
- Provides simulated fire ground training
- Fosters leadership skills in a supportive environment

Who Can Apply
All Edmonton Region Fire Rescue Services values diversity.
- This program is only open to individuals who are women (cisgender, transgender) or gender-diverse (non-binary, two-spirit), as well as women from all other equity-deserving groups
- Applicants must be 18 years of age before the start of camp
- Only applicants who have not previously attended Camp Inspire are eligible to apply
Miyowatisiwin Camp Inspire
An opportunity for Indigenous Peoples of all backgrounds and genders to work alongside members of Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, ask questions and meet others who are interested in the firefighting profession.
Modelled after Camp Inspire for women and gender-diverse individuals, this edition of the camp:
- Provides Indigenous Peoples from all backgrounds and genders an introduction to the fire service in a safe, inclusive way
- Provides simulated fire ground training
- Provides skills and information that participants can take back to share within their community
- Provides an opportunity for self-growth and confidence-building
